Jardin des Plantes is one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, and Charlotte's favourite. It houses my favourite department of the Natural History Museum, a beautiful tropical house (or winter garden) and wonderful scenery. We decided to go even though the rain was pouring down, and we were not disappointed. It was gorgeously bright and colourful, and I was very happy to see how visible the rain on my pictures. Raindrops, rings in the water and flowers heavy with water.
I'm not really a big fan of the classical flower pictures, and found it a little weird that I was so fascinated with them going through the parks and gardens in Paris. Maybe it was the rain, the bright and warm daylight, or the slight feeling of melancholia that heavy clouds bring. Nonetheless, I'm happy I got these shots that are heavy with rain, and beautiful colors and light. These pictures are not edited one little bit, which makes me even happier. Nature is perfect as it is. Except when it makes your feet wet and gives you frizzy high maintenance hair. We had a bathtub in our apartment. Made everything better!
