A week ago, Anne and I had a wonderful shoot in Copenhagen. I’m so happy that she wanted to participate in my project, because she is so photogenic that I don’t have to work very hard to make everything come together, and can focus on learning as much as possible. We were trapped in weird, indecisive weather, but the dark clouds made the light conditions kind of amazing. Just before the rain pours or a thunderstorm is approaching, the light attracts me more than any other time. I’m totally crazy about the heavy, yet delicious light it produces because it makes everything looks really soft and there is so much colour in that kind of light. No sharp shadows just mellow contrasts. I don’t really like to use Photoshop a lot, so I’m a little obsessed with learning how to work with different kinds of light, especially since I like to shoot outside.
I had so much fun with Anne, and I really love how she is also smiling with her eyes. Tyra would be proud!
