In this heat, staying hydrated is important. And while water is amazing, nothing really beats a gin tonic, or even better, a gin lemon on a hot summer evening. Jane and I improvised this drink yesterday, because we were making gin tonics, but since we didn’t have any ice cubes, I suggested using frozen blueberries in stead. It turned out to be so great that I want to share the recipe with you. Super simple, and so good!
To make a glass of this perfect summer potion you’ll need
3 ice cubes (I put tiny lime slices in mine)
2 tbsp. frozen blueberries
2 slices of lime
2 cl. good dry gin
2,5 dl Schweppes lemon (or any other kind of lemon soda)
Put the ice cubes, blueberries and lime in a glass, add the gin and top it off with lemon soda. Stir carefully and enjoy. That’s it! Gorgeous colour and great flavours for warm, sunny evenings. We are for sure having them again tonight (I just had a glass so I could take a picture to put up, and I’m already looking forward to post dinner drinks!). It’s summer, Friday and sunny, enjoy!
