Today is my little sister’s birthday!
She sometimes used to sleep in my bed when she was little, and even though I was a teenager and might not have said it out loud, I loved having her there. Her and all of her stuffed animals! She used to have a little army of stuffed animals, and she would bring her favourites from her own bed and into mine. She was not very fond of candy, and was perfectly happy with fruit, and watermelon and strawberries are still her favourites.
Already when she was little, she was stubborn, knew what she wanted and fiercely went for it, yet she has always been kind, calm and considerate. Such a beautiful little creature! No wonder why she has grown up to be this wonderful girl that I love so much. Unfairly photogenic and so pretty, just look at her!
It’s so incredible how this little girl that came into my life when I was seven years old has turned into being one of my best friends. I’m so proud of her, and so happy that we have come to share so many wonderful things. We are quite alike, and I love that as she has grown older, we have become closer and closer . I admire her strength, and look forward to following her through life. My beautiful little sister, and fierce blond counterpart.
Dear Ragnhild, Eirik and I want to wish you happy birthday (we can truly not believe that you are 18 already!!), and when you and I run off to London in the autumn, you will receive your gift from us: A little shopping spree, tickets for a show of your choice, or proper English high tea. We love you to pieces! Have a wonderful birthday, and trip to Stockholm.
